Socket’s exhibition at the Tarpey Gallery is on for 4 more days, finishing Saturday 29th September (Wed – Sat, 11 – 6pm). Here’s a glimpse of some of the work on display, but there’s more to see across two floors including video, textile, ceramics and assemblage.

for nomination for the neo:printprize – a sculpture and a video. The neo:printprize
is an open exhibition staged by Bolton based neo:studios
in association with Hot Bed Press
2012. Its aim is to raise awareness of new trends and directions
in printmaking by showcasing excellence and innovation in contemporary British printmaking
. Over 400 entries were received from all corners of the UK and from artists working across the whole range of print media.
The neo:printprize exhibiton runs from 13th Sept – 28th October 2012 at neo:gallery22, Market Place, Bolton.
Socket’s first group exhibition opens at the Tarpey Gallery, Castle Donnington this Saturday 8th September, 11am – 6pm. There are 12 of us showing work reflecting the diverse practice of the group, through painting, printmaking, installation, three-dimensional work and digital media. The exhibition continues until Sat 29th September, with an opening night on Sat 15th, 6 – 8pm.
Socket member Paula McCann is taking part in the Pedestrian Gallery’s Secret Postcard Exhibition on now. The exhibition runs from Wednesday 5th to Saturday 15th September, 9:30am – 5pm Monday to Saturday. Private View Friday 7th Sept 6.00pm.
Proceeds go to Pedestrian Gallery’s continuing support of emerging artists.
