The annual Summer Exhibition showcases recent work by staff, students and alumni of the University. It is open daily, Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12-4pm Sat 19th July – Sat 9th August 2014, admission free.
The study room is part of the new Joseph Wright Institute, and offers free public access to a range of Wright-related resources, including many of his sketches and drawings, and a large collection of related books.
Jane will be giving a talk about the commission on Sat 16th August as part of the museum’s program of Wright-inspired events associated with the current exhibition ‘Joseph Wright of Derby: Bath and Beyond’, which runs until 31 Aug 2014. Socket member Dorothy Dexter is one of 10 artists exhibiting in a GATHERING OF CREATIVE PEOPLE, an exhibiton founded on the creative connections running between the lives of the participating artists working across a range of media.
