Socket artist Sue Greenaway has recently been appointed as a member of the board of Nottingham Contemporary. As well as being a Nottingham-based artist Sue brings the experience and insights of her long and varied career in primary and higher education to the role.
Sue is a founder member of Socket, and part of the Harrington Mills studio group, where she uses photographic techniques to develop large scale abstract work.

Socket artists Barbara Clayton and Steve Gresham have had work selected for inclusion in the University of Nottingham’s Summer Exhibition at the Djanogly Art Gallery, Lakeside.

The annual Summer Exhibition showcases recent work by staff, students and alumni of the University. It is open daily, Mon-Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 12-4pm Sat 27th June – Sat 11th July 2015, admission free.
Socket artists have a new exhibition ‘Socket Unplugged’ launching Sat 13th June 2015 at Harrington Mill Studios, Long Eaton, NG10 4QG.
Exhibiting artists are Barbara Clayton, Sue Greenaway, Steve Gresham, Jane Pepper, Nicola Rae, Janet Turville and Helen Williams. The exhibition will feature work across a variety of media, including new pieces by several of the artists.

The launch event is Sat 13th June 4-6pm, all welcome, after which the exhibition can be viewed by arrangement with any of the exhibiting artists until Sat 11th July 2015.
