Following its exhibition at Harrington Mills Studios in May 2016 the “Precious Little” themed exhibition, organised and curated by Jackie Berridge, has been taken to Athens for inclusion in the ‘Platforms‘ event at the Art-Athina Contemporary Art Fair, 26-29th May 2016.
Socket artists Barbara Clayton, Sue Greenaway, Jane Pepper, Nicola Rae and Janet Turville were delighted to take part, and to have been included in the largest contemporary art exhibition in Greece.

Socket artist Janet Turville has been invited to curate an exhibition at Lakeside’s Djanogly Gallery of work by 11 Graduate Resident artists from the University of Nottingham’s BA Fine Art course. The exhibition will be held alongside this year’s graduating artists’ Degree Show 2016, with displays of work by staff and alumni to mark the final closing of university’s BA Fine Art course.
Janet has successfully curated group exhibitions across a range of venues, including the Tarpey Gallery in Castle Donnington, Deda in Derby, the Carnival of Monsters Bartons site in Beeston, and Harrington Mills Studios in Long Eaton.
The Graduate Residents’ show will open Thur 9th Jun and run until Thur 23rd June, and the Degree Show and Staff and Alumni exhibitions will open Sat 11th Jun until Sun 3rd Jul. The PV for the exhibitions will be Wednesday 15th June 6-8pm.
