Pataphysics is described as ‘the science of imaginary solutions’ where truths are illusions which we have forgotten are illusions.
My work asks where, why and how we believe things to be true. It considers the uncertainty of truth; truth as an illusion or a point of view. It explores our ability as humans to imagine an abstract idea through to its possible outcomes. It also reflects on the links between art and science and their mutual reliance on abstract, creative thinking.
