Natural History themes form the basis of my practice. I am interested in natural forms and artefacts, and in the hidden structures and intricacies that surround us. I am also curious about our impulse to collect and classify, and our in emotional attachment to the natural world.
I use foraged organic material as source and process it in various ways, often incorporating fragments directly into small-scale assemblages, or applying digital collage techniques to photographic images of selected material.
Outcomes are various, including series of field guides and natural history specimen cases, and themed collections of botanical wallpapers.
